You don't have to write well, you don't have to write a lot. In fact, short, sweet & specific is usually best. I just want to know if I touched your heart in some way. Visit the Kind Words pages, so you have an idea what other folks have submitted. To get your comments out of your head and into my hands, I have a couple of options - just pick the one that works best:

You can either email your testimonial, mail it, or hand deliver it upon your next visit.

Details, details - sorry, just trying to cover the bases here

Three things:

  1. Your feedback needs to be something that I can use in my marketing
  2. 
You have to tell me who you are
  3. You need to give me permission to use what you have written

About words that I can use - comments that are from the heart and that describe something unique about your experience are like gold. Comments that aren't as 'useable' are those that are too short ('good job') or too general. Also, though every kind of feedback is certainly welcome however you choose to provide it, I'll find another way to reward you for constructive criticism - if you take the time to tell me something that I should know or hear I'll find a way to thank you for it, but I probably won't be able to use those types of comments in my marketing.

About providing permission - you'll need to expressly tell me that I may use your testimonial for my marketing. Now, if you forget I'll probably follow up with you, but you know how difficult phone tag and email tag can be. So, please just try to remember to include something like 'you have my permission to use my comments'. Thanks.

About providing your name - we have to know who you are. If the name you use in real life is different than the one you use with me (it happens all too frequently), please just tell me or I may not know who you are.

Lastly

Testimonials are really, really important to me, because I believe that what I say is one thing, but what my clients say is EVERYTHING. I so appreciate you taking the time to read this, and I can't wait to hear from you!
