I met with Jennifer and explained that I wanted her to photograph my boys in different settings that showed their lives throughout the year.  My husband and I had taken our boys to be photographed at a mall studio, but the pictures never seemed to capture them.  Some pictures were dark while other pictures had too much lighting.  She willingly met us at several destinations and patiently photographed them.  She was so nice to my sons and me!  It didn't seem like we were being photographed.  Instead, it felt like our usual family outings!  As a family, we spend many afternoons at the water park in Kapolei.  I was excited that she was willing to meet us at any place.  My younger son, a toddler, was not as excited about being photographed.  Jennifer was patient with him and asked to meet an extra session to get more "happy" photographs of him.
 
Jennifer created much more than a book of my boys!  She documented their lives for this past year!  The book she created is absolutely wonderful!  I gave a book to my husband and my children’s grandparents for Christmas presents!  My husband looked at his book with tears in his eyes on Christmas morning.  My four-year-old son enjoys going through the book with Mommy and Daddy!  The grandparents have repeatedly told us that the book was the best present anyone could have given them.  They proudly display the book on their coffee tables so that family and friends look through the book and ask questions.  I look at my book everyday!  I cannot help looking at the book without a huge smile!
 
The book is so much more than I ever imagined!  Jennifer created the most beautiful and creative pages!  The designs and layouts are creative and tie into the colors of the clothing and theme of the setting.  Both of my boys have light-colored eyes, and Jennifer's photographs show their eyes!  The pictures from the mall studios never showed their eyes.  She photographed their personalities, too!  Anyone can look at the book and know my sons!  I want Jennifer to document their lives for at least the next ten years!  I can hardly wait to see what she creates next!
 
Jennifer was so flexible with her schedule and accommodated my boys' schedule!  She allowed me to choose times around their naptime.  She helped me choose the right colors for their clothing.  Overall, Jennifer was wonderful to work with, and I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to have a great experience and final product!

Jennifer has changed my outlook on family photography.  I'm not one to savor photos, much less pose for them. Yet, she managed to change my outlook in just a few moments. She took my maternity portraits and turned it into art. Jennifer instantly became our family photographer that I never dreamed possible. She photographed my daughter at 3 weeks and has since. Jennifer goes the extra miles to capture that precious smile of a child. She is wonderful to work with and incredibly patient. She turns her photographs into an experience that you will cherish. Her goal is clear - making you comfortable and ultimately very happy with the results.  Thank you Jennifer, you've made me look forward to photographs of my children.

I found out about Jennifer from seeing her display at Baby Emporium. What I liked about her portraits was that you saw the child in the portrait, not the child and the background. Her style is very clean and refreshing.

I remember viewing our newborn session. I cried as soon as I saw the first photo! The pictures were gorgeous! I couldn’t believe that was MY daughter in those photos. As soon as we were finished viewing our photos, I knew we had made the right decision to hire Jennifer to capture our daughter’s first year.

I have enjoyed working with Jennifer. She pays great attention to every little detail, which is much appreciated by this very picky person. Also, she has so much patience. She knows how to deal with fussy babies as well as indecisive mothers who are unable to pick out their favorite images from the many beautiful ones. She is very dedicated to her work and it shows in each of her portraits.

My experience with Jennifer Okamoto photography was one I will never forget.  Not only did she help to make me feel very comfortable in my own skin, but she also made the picture itself look outstanding by touching up blemishes that come along with pregnancy.  I had a maternity photo shoot with another photographer, a few months before meeting Jennifer, and it was nothing compared to her work. I get complements all the time on how good my photos look, and hear people say often “it looks like something out of a maternity magazine.” She also allowed my daughter to be in a few of the pictures, with was very special to me, being that she was my first born. My pictures were very unique in that, the poses were unlike any that you would see in your typical photography session, and she took her time to ensure I was completely satisfied with her work. I enjoyed it so much I have now set up regular sessions with her to photograph my son, throughout his development. I now find myself telling all my friends and family about Jennifer, and how wonderful a job she does, and that they should strongly consider making an investment in her photography.

When we first purchased the Very Best Plan I was a little hesitant mainly due to the cost. I can now say, it was money well spent. There's no better way to preserve our memories of Rheya-Ari's first year but by the photographs you've taken. You've stopped the clock at least for a little time and captured our baby's first year in a way that we would never be able to experience again. You've captured her smiles, frowns and many expressions that we could never capture on our regular camera and for this we are most thankful. Thank you for preserving our memories of our "baby", its amazing how time flies.
